Ramdas Lamb, our president and co-founder, was a resident of
India from 1969 to 1978. He has been studying and working with
villagers in Chhattisgarh since the mid-1970s. He is currently
a professor of religion at the University of Hawaii, Manoa,
where he has been since 1991.

Amita Talwar is the co-founder of Sahayog Foundation along with
Dr. Ramdas Lamb. She is also the Editor and Owner of "Channel
6," a monthly magazine published in Hyderabad, India. She
has spent years traveling around India, learning about the country's
many diverse traditions and writing about many of them. Additionally,
she has been involved in various documentary projects on different
facets of India culture and traditions. Amita first came in
contact in 2003 with Ramdas through his work with the Ramnami
Samaj, a Harijan religious movement in Chhattisgarh. It is their
combined vision that led to the creation of Sahayog foundation. |

Bhagwati Charan Bhatpare is a Board member and oversees the
Foundation's on the ground operations in Chhattisgarh. He is
also a resident of Matiya village and a teacher at Lawan Higher
Secondary School. His knowledge of the local culture and traditions
as well as his long time commitment to addressing the educational
needs of village youth are fundamental to the work of Sahayog. |

Leela Chock, our secretary, teaches part time at Hongwanji Mission
School in Honolulu and is a caregiver to the elderly. She is
a devotee of Bhakti Yoga and has been living and practicing
devotion in South India and Honolulu for thirty years. |

Paula Stockman Allerstorfer, our treasurer, is a yoga teacher
and student of social work in Honolulu, Hawaii. She comes to
Sahayog Foundation with a great respect for the traditional
way of life in village India along with the desire to promote
education and equality for all people. |

Vaughn Paul Manley, M.A., our web master, is a Vedic astrologer
who lives in Maui, Hawaii. |
